Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

Steve Jobs, founder and creative genius of Apple, has died. My condolences go out to his family and friends. I've been using a Macintosh since 1985, and have owned several during these intervening 26 years. I can't imagine my life without one, as all of my art is originally conceived on a Mac in one way or another, and this blog is brought to you via my Mac. We live in a better place because of Jobs' vision and products. Sad day, but let's celebrate a life well and truly lived for the betterment of the entire world. RIP.

Longtime reader, Woody Thompson, posted this quote of Jobs' in the comments. It's perfect for right now, so I'm updating this post to include it. We can all learn something from it. Thank you, Woody!
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma—which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

  2. Sad....a very smart man.

I love my Mac. And my iPod. I haven't graduated to an iPhone yet, but I hope to.
