"Morning Has Broken"

My downstairs foyer and piano room in this morning's light. Downsizing means multipurpose spaces…

Let's all remember it's the anniversary of Pearl Harbor this morning. My father's ship left Pearl Harbor a week before the attack en route to the South Pacific. He crossed the Equator for the first time on December 5th, 1941, a big deal for young sailors, a cause for celebration receiving a large full color citation which I have framed today. Just two short days later we were at war.

  1. I LOVE the ambience in this corner of your house. The old store sign coupled with the vintage truck and your artwork make for a very cozy, inviting space. Good thing your Dad's ship had left the harbor before the Japanese attack, having seen the magnitude of the destruction to the Arizona and others he probbably would not have survived had he been there.
