Just the Thing for Tiny European Roads

These Dinky Toy International Signs were produced from 1953 through 1965. Underneath the lid of the box is a faint ink stamp with " 2 59" so I'm guessing these were sold in 1959. The box wasn't sealed, or taped shut, and I'm happy, and mildly surprised, to note that all the little signs are still intact.

  3. SO GET OUT OF CONTROL YOUR THE ONE THAT HAS TO PUT THE STUFF AWAY AND WE GET TO ENJOY.

I DID THE SAME THING YESTERDAY. I OPEN A CHRISTMAS BOX LOOKING FOR JUST ONE ITEM AND NOW I HAVE TO GO AND TAKE EVERYTHING OUT AND PUT IT ALL BACK NEATLY. I GUESS IT'S ONE REASON I DON'T OVERDO FOR CHRISTMAS LIKE I DID OVER THE YEARS. I DON'T LIKE MESSES AND PUTTING EVERYTHING AWAY. ALL OF MY HOMES WERE JUST BEAUTIFUL OVER THE YEARS AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE DOING IT ALL FOR MY FAMILY BUT NOW IT WOULD BE WAY TO MUCH WORK.I DID PUT OUT JUST A FEW THINGS.
DID I SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS. GET USE TO IT BECAUSE I HATE HAPPY HOLIDAY UNLESS I'M TALKING DIRECTLY TO SOMEONE NOT MY FAITH. TO ME DEC. 25IS CHRISTMAS. IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

  4. I'm a Happy Holidayer myself, but to each his own. I'm most definitely not a Christian, but I don't hold it against people if they are. As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "Not that there's anything wrong with that." : )

  5. The singer Morrisey who know resides in the United State commented a few years ago, during a drive in his brand new Jaguar XK convertible, that American has just too many signs. I feel that these European signs would simply confuse me if I ever had to venture out and do some traveling by car in England.

  6. International symbols always seem to confuse me, my brain just works different. Heck, I have enough of a problem with "Push" and "Pull".

  7. I have that set (in storage!). I used it on my Lionel/Plasticville/Dinky Toy layout. I hadn't thought of them in years.
