Best. Present. Ever. : )

The other day, my friend and fellow Pink Gardens resident, June, gave me another awesome thrift store find, this Hillary Nutcracker! Truth be told, before Obama received the Democratic nomination in 2008, I was a huge Hillary supporter. My late mother who died in 1999 always said that Hillary would be our first female President, and I really thought it would be awesome if her prediction came true. She and I saw Hillary speak at a rally in New Haven in 1996, and my mom had a framed photo of Hillary on her wall until the day she died. I love parody and irony, and I'm totally thrilled with this new addition to the "Collection!" I'm not taking it out of the box though, so I'll have to keep cracking my nuts the old fashioned way, lol.

  2. June and I hit it off immediately last year when we met, something that is rare in my life experience. I've only had a few good friends my entire life, and most of them I've known for more than 30 years.

  3. "No comment", Bill Clinton. Too funny. I was a Hillary supporter as well and when JM. picked SP as his running mate, that act to me as a women was the biggest insult, like all females were going to fall in line and support any old woman.

  4. I know! The choice of Palin had to be the most cynical political move of all time. I think he REALLY thought that he could get the "woman's" vote by picking that dolt. There is NOTHING in common between Hillary and Sarah besides the body parts. NO Hillary supporter would have been caught dead working to elect Palin.

  9. I wanted to vote for Hillary myself considering I'm not a political person, oh well!

I have a picture of BC and myself during one of his $peeches with my hand around his shoulder. The security personal were actually friendly and didn't stop me. What an unbelievable feeling it was to meet one of the most powerful people. He was also the last president I voted for.

  10. How can Ferris be 18? We're only 25, right?

  12. ONE THING ABOUT BC HE KNEW HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME IN HIS OFFICE IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. PLUS HE LIED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT PART OF BILLY.I FELT SO SORRY FOR HILLARY.I GUESS I'M OLD SCHOOL. IF YOU CAN'T TRUST YOUR HUSBAND WHO CAN YOU TRUST.

    JUST MY THOUGHTS.

  13. Who can you trust if you can't trust your husband? Good question. I really don't know why the right-wing is so proud of their straight marriages refusing to open it up to gays. With slightly more than 50% of straight marriages ending in divorce, the only thing I can think of that bothers them so much is that we gays might do it better than they do, lol. I know many gay couples that have been together 30 years, and that's without the benefit of a piece of paper or tax breaks or hospital visitation rights.

  14. Marriage may be an over-rated institution, but I wouldn't stand in the way of anyone that wanted to embrace it.

I've had gay friends whose partnerships lasted years and years, ending only because of death.

Hey, is trusting your wife a given? lol

  15. My Dad was married twice before he met my mother, for very short times, less than a year apiece. My mother told him that their marriage was going to be his LAST marriage, hahaha, and it was. She was almost 4 years older than he was and obviously the mature one! They were married for 36 years before he died. I had good role models, but I"m a loner anyway.

  16. I agree with Casey-people have the right to believe in religion but it's the fundamentalist that spoil the essence of the religion itself and create the thriving arm of bigotry.

I honestly don't like people using labels to identify themselves or others. You are who you are and you have to make the best of life while you're still alive.

It took me a very long time to accept this and by far I'm no finally authority on how other's should live their life.

And one more thing, a friend of mine who asked me to do sexual stuff for him was forgiven. He pretends himself as "straight' but I know deep inside that he is in denial, Even today as a hockey coach and with millions in the bank thanks to his dad, he is too fearful to live the way nature intended.

I have been asked out a few times by gay men
but I too prefer being alone.
