Well, That Didn't Take Long

We had our first snowfall last night! The amount was negligible, but is so far sticking around this morning. We're also still experiencing the really high winds of our first Nor'easter, a storm that hits us from the east rather than west, and usually brings rain, sleet or snow. The wind has been HOWLING since last night, debris is everywhere from trees, and I can see the "rocker-swing seat thingy" is upended and about 20 feet away from where it usually sits. The temps are in the low 50s though, so I'll still get in my bike ride later. The sun seems to be trying to come out too.

Not getting the message yet, this small geranium in one of the cast-iron Victorian planters is still blooming. Well, just a little bit. I brought the large pink geranium inside last week, it was just too healthy to throw out. It will most likely be leggy by spring, yellowing etc, but in the past I've kept geraniums 8-10 years when I had the room for them inside during the winter months.

  2. THE FIRST PICTURE LOOKS LIKE A CHRISTMAS WREATH. LOVE THE SNOW. I HAVEN'T SEEN SNOW SINCE THE 70'S. THAT'S NOT TRUE. OUR SON IN LAW RENTED A HOUSE AND TOOK THE WHOLE FAMILY FOR A SNOW CHRISTMAS A FEW YEARS AGO. FORGOT.IT WAS SO FUN WATCHING THE KIDS PLAY IN THE SNOW.I WISH I COULD GO BACK TO THAT WEEK.

  3. GRANNY, YOU CAN *HAVE* THE SNOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. LOL YOU MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW BONE-CHILLINGLY COLD IT IS WHEN IT SNOWS. WE'RE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A VERY MILD WINTER, THOUGH, ACCORDING TO THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC (THE REAL ONE). HOPE THEY'RE RIGHT!

CASEY, THANKS FOR THE SNOW PICS. LOOKS PRETTY AS LONG AS I DON'T HAVE TO BE OUT IN IT. IT'S ONLY 44 HERE TODAY. TOO COLD FOR MY BLOOD! LOL HOPE YOU GET IN YOUR BIKE RIDE!

  5. Hi Casey - Oh the first snowball I love it, all we have here in Vegas is lots of sand and bright lights. The photos are beautiful. When I was at the airport yesterday in ST. Louis the flights to Boston were delayed, now I know why. St. Louis was in the 70's yesterday and about the same here in Vegas (I think) actually haven't left the casino/room since arriving. Today we venture out. I will take some pictures.

I've lost $5 dollars so far, well invested five, doubled it and lost all that. You may have to send money, I will let you know. :|

    Special Hi to everyone...
