Rose-alicious, 2008

An arrangement of roses by Mary, 2008. I photographed it next to a potted fern for a few of the pics that night. When I was looking around for props for the pix, I noticed that the two vintage afghans on the couch worked so well with the flowers. These are the raw photos of the roses I used in the digital 'quilt' below.

  1. Good morning Casey. I love it when you show us the "how" your art develops. Were your ears burning last evening? I was telling my granddaughter about your art with the layering of old photos. She said Oh, that's neat. At almost 16 (Oct. 31) she has been pouring through her 'old' photos and scanning and sharing with her friend. They get a kick out of seeing themselves when they were 2/3/6 or seven years old. Usually their comments are, Oh I was so ugly. lol When they get to be 70 they will look back and say, Oh I was so pretty. lol Have a good day my friend.

  2. RIFFULL, MY WORD IN THE BOX. WORD VERIFICATION. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT MEANS? MAYBE IT MEANS, I RIFFULL THE ICEBOX AND NOW I CAN EAT FOR A WEEK. LOL.

CASEY, THE FLOWERS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE. I LOVE HOW YOU PUT THE COLORS TOGETHER.THE YARN AND FLOWERS GO TOGETHER PERFECTLY. WHAT MORE COULD A GRANNY NEED ON A SUNNY DAY BUT A FLOWER AND A FEW RAINDROPS TO MAKE THEM GROW. KEEP THEM COMING. IT GIVES ME LIFE.
